GREEN MAN FESTIVAL )O(

Hello my fellow pagans! This post is all about this years green man festival.
 The green man festival held at Pilton every year is a local festival celebrating the green man face within the church. 
For us it is a time where pagans and Christians celebrate together. With a parade, pageant, food and fun. 

 Currently the video footage of the day is being sorted for our youtube channel Witches gone wild. Hopefully i will find the time to do it with in the next week or so! In which i will post the link when its up! )O( Love light and blessed be.

Witches Gone Wild!!

Merry meet everyone!

 So alot had been happening with me lately so please forgive my lack in posts.

I have become an auntie, been left by my long term boyfriend ( don't worry it was for the best, and now i have someone new) starting collage again soon and much more! Enough about me though i wanted to take this opportunity to tell you all about a youtube channel me and my best friend Rachel are starting, called witches gone wild, it will include many things, mostly information and opinions about the paths we are following.

Just a quick personal one from me!
Finally plucked up the courage to start selling my art and creations since someone recommend etsy to me! scary times. My new shop is called FoxsBazaar at the moment i have only listed two canvas but soon i'm hoping to put up my custom painted canvas shoes! I'm going to be creating them around all my fave fandoms!

what is the term for a male witch? 

So i surprisingly come across this question quite a bit. The word/name 'Witch' is not gender specific, meaning that a male or female can both be a witch, so a male witch is.....a witch! Since we dropped the gender endings when Old English evolved, "witch" is for both male and female.   The male may prefer to call themselves a wizard, but wizard can apply to anyone who is really smart at any given topic. Witch is the name more commonly used when referring to someone who practices magic & could be used to refer to people who practice it as a religion. If you are wondering what to call a male witch as to not offend them, then simply ask what do you refer to yourself as, or what do you like being called. They wont bite ;)

BOOK REVIEW

Today i shall be discussing my thoughts on *The Kitchen Witch By Soraya*

whats the book about?

This book first and foremost is a cooking book for the everyday witch. It has recipes broken down into the eight festivals : samhain, yule, imbolc, ostara, beltane, litha, lammas and mabon. What i love about this book is that it has a lot of extras i was not expecting. Along with recipes and information and wicca and the Sabbaths it also has rituals, such as hand fasting ceremony & a naming ceremony. The recipes all relate to the festival section that their in with relevant ingredients, they all sound delicious! I cannot wait for a festival now so i can invite everyone round and cook up a feast!

Would you recommend the book?

This book is great i recommend it to every wiccan who's love to be a kitchen witch! I fully intend to hand this one down when im older! Easy for every wiccan to understand even if you are new to wicca, or very experienced. I highly recommend it. It's RRP its £7.99 but i picked it up from The works at £2.99.

Crystals *cleansing & charging*

Sorry i haven't posted for a while! But we are back! and heres a break down of crystals *cleansing & charging* 


why cleanse crystals?
When you first obtain crystals or have been using them for some time, or even if they have been left sitting around somewhere, they will have absorbed a range of different energies that they will have been exposed to by yourself and others who may have handled them and transferred various energies and emotions into them. Which is why is normally best to cleanse them either weekly, daily, monthly ect. depending on your use of them. However if you are given a crystal as a gift which has already has specific energy put into it for you i.e healing if your sick, then you will not need to do an initial cleansing as that would be getting rid off the energy someone kindly put there for you.


Way's to cleanse your crystals:
1.running water
2.salt water
3.salt
4.smudging
5.sand/earth
6.candle flame
7.water with essential oils
8.sunlight
9.moonlight
10.visualization

Way's to charge your crystals:
1.sunlight
2.moonlight
3.white light

Be Careful what methods you use! some are better suited than others some may damage your crystal such as salt water. So use your knowledge of what best suits the type of Crystal you're dealing with :)
